Tried scanning with malwarebytes even in safemode and it didnt detect anything, I ran a Hijackthis scan, Combofix scan, TDSSkiller scan,
Im at a complete loss as far as what to do.
I load up the pc and svchost.exe starts at around 5k, then it goes way up to about 50% progressively, then says Dcom server process launcher service terminated.

SFC /scannow won't complete ... tried everything except a hammer
SFC /scannow won't complete and gets stuck at 58%. Same results when booting up in Safe Mode. Tried running an error check on boot by right clicking C*drive / properties/ tools/ check for errors and then re-ran SFC. Checked all the services options and they are OK. Checked the CBS log which confirms that there are numerous files that could not be repaired. I am sure that there must be another...

Windows 7 experience index does not complete
Hi all,
i am trying to run WEI but it never completes .
I read and did the tutorial that exist here in sevenforums to reset WEI but in vain.
The error message says :

My PC is 5 Years Old and now it is very slow on both xp and 7.the startup and shutdown are good but after startup the pc is slow expecially after loading of mcafee internet security and it also uses 60% of cpu usage for about 5mins.the main problems are listed below:-

wake behavior is erratic
could I please piggyback here; this is an issue I thought had gone away many Windows7 updates ago but apparently not. Windows 7 power sleep problem
Build a new HTPC and it's working, yeaah.
Only one problem remaining, it will not go in to power sleep.
However I can force it in to power sleep (in the shut down pull down menu), so it knows how to do it and it stays in power sleep.
But it won't do it by itself.
Been looking around the web and found several topics, also tried different things but the problem remains.

In WinXP Ctrl+Alt+Delete opened *taskmgr.exe*
In Win7, Ctrl+Alt+Delete opens an intermediate screen with 7 options of which only one is "Start Task Manager"

Solved Refresh/Delete Entries in Notification Icon Area of Control Panel.
Is their a way to clear old entries out of the Notification Icon part of Control Panel?
This is a small thing, I know.
The thing is I don't like having the Icons available for Programs that are no longer on my computer.
Some of them contained Malware.
So, I got rid of them as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, they left small reminders.

Physical Memory Usage phenomenon, Windows design flaw?
I noticed that if I leave my PC on for a long time, and even if I don't open any application, that the RAM (Physical Memory) Usage, as reported by the "Performance" tab in Windows Task Manager, will increase as time progresses. Windows Folder is Too Big

As you can see my windows folder is very large and I would like some help reducing its size. I have deleted the Hiberfil.sys file and used the Windows disk clean up program which did not help at all.

The coverage of my screen has shrunk, how do i restore it?
For some reason the available screen area of the monitor is not being totally covered by the windows 7 Home 64-bit.
It was working and suddenly there are now inch and a half black vertical areas in both left and right edges of my screen.
How do i correct that?
Should i increase the Display size view to 125% or 150% of the default 100% would that cause this disturbance?
